"To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often". -Winston Churchill

Changing to a healthier lifestyle can be very difficult. You first have to be motivated, then often educated, and then you become more empowered to take on change.  I struggled with the fitness element of wellness for awhile.  What helped was finding something I love to do and incorporating that into a realistic fitness regime.  I found obstacle course racing (OCR).  I was very intimidated by it, but I stepped out of my comfort zone, embraced some change, set some realistic goals, and found something that I loved. It gives me something to work towards, physically and mentally, and it’s one of the most enjoyable things I’ve ever done. What's better than crawling through mud under barbed wire, or climbing up a rope to an uncomfortable height? So if you want to be successful in your fitness goals, there are two things to keep in mind. Embrace change by finding something you enjoy, and make goals that are realistic. The pictures below show me on the OCR course getting some incredible exercise, while doing what I love. Be well.
